Students in 7th grade mathematics class will learn about the number system, expressions and equations, ratios and proportional relationships, geometry, statistics and probability. This includes topics on rational numbers, properties of operations, linear expressions and equations, multi-step problems, ratios, proportions, unit rates, scale drawings, geometric constructions, volume, surface area, circumference, area, random sampling, and probability. The curriculum for this class is aligned with the national common core state standards for 7th grade mathematics and will prepare students for Pre-Algebra in 8th grade.
