Welcome to Belding High School Cross Country

Cross Country is a challenging sport where athletes compete in a 5000-meter (3.1 mile) foot race versus each other and the stop watch. In Belding Cross Country, we believe in the values of perseverance, passion and pride. Feel free to browse through our news and announcements (below the photos). If you have any questions, please contact the head coach and he will be glad to answer them for you.

Cross country is a team sport where high school athletes run 3.1 miles and middle school athletes run 1.5 miles. Races are run on lots of varied surfaces including city parks, golf courses or sometimes a county fairgrounds. The Belding Area Schools home course is located at Lightning Bend Park, and we also use a section of property courtesy of the Belding Tank Technologies. Everyone makes the team in cross country – there are no cuts.
