Welcome to Belding Area Schools!   If you are looking for a district with a small town feel and a personal touch, you have come to the right place.  I started as superintendent for Belding Area Schools in July 2016 and was immediately struck by the how compassionate and caring this staff is.  I have been in the education field for 31 years and have never been around a group of people who are so friendly and caring.

It is not just our staff who are very special.  Individuals who grow up in a small town put community first.  Belding Area Schools has always had a great relationship with our community.  The community rallies around events the school holds and the school rallies around community events.  When I ask newcomers their opinion about moving into Belding I often hear, "The community and school community are so warm and welcoming."

Our focus at Belding Area Schools is to increase student achievement for ALL students and make sure they are career or college ready.  Belding High School has been named as one of the top high schools in the entire country three years in a row by U.S. News and World Report.   Whether your child/children are college bound or career bound, we offer many educational options for them.  We send students to the University of Michigan every year and we also place students in fully paid trade schools.  You will not be disappointed with the academic choices Belding Area Schools has to offer.
